New optimised setup in the familiar design
The third generation of the popular SOLAR STINGERĀ® SunStrip is here. The incorrigible, flat design with rail profile has been retained.
New, however, is the further increased luminosity as well as an optimised light spectrum:
- Brilliant light spectrum – suitable for all freshwater aquarium types (no colour adjustment required).
- High colour rendition
- Wide-area radiation
- A total of 5 different colour channels
- Combined warm white and cool white LEDs for a natural lighting climate
- RGB LEDs for colour simulations, such as sunrise and sunset
- Optionally controllable with CON1
- Multiple strips can be operated with only one appropriately sized DRV power supply unit – no DRV power supply unit is included
in the scope of delivery. - Extremely flat aluminium design
- Glass cover for lossless light transmission
- Many mounting options with the SOLAR STINGERĀ® SunStrip holders, via the profile rail
Optimised light spectrum
The combination of evenly distributed warm white and cool white LEDs not only brings more luminosity into the aquarium, but also ensures a natural lighting climate.
The brilliant light spectrum is completed by the additional RGB LEDs (red, green, blue), three colour channels that bring the light bar to a total of 5 light channels.
Like its predecessors, the SOLAR STINGERĀ® SunStrip III 35 FRESH can be controlled via the CON 1 control unit. With this, each channel can be controlled individually, and the amount of light itself can also be dimmed. This means that complex colour simulations, for example very nature-like sunrises and sunsets, can be created by controlling via CON1.
Best heat management
The aluminium profile on the luminaire reliably dissipates the heat generated and also serves as a mounting rail for the SunStrip Holder. These allow you to mount the luminaire individually above the aquarium.
Flexible mounting
The mounting is also sophisticated: Almost anything is possible – from mounting or screwing on, to hanging from the ceiling, to inserting into existing T8 or T5 fluorescent tube sockets. Even two SunStrips can be connected in length! Existing JUWELĀ® and EHEIM/MPĀ® aquarium covers can also be converted to SunStrip covers.
Wide range of applications & diverse combinations
The SOLAR STINGERĀ® SunStrip III 35 FRESH has a power consumption of 35 watts per meter and requires an additional DRV power supply unit for operation, which is not included in the scope of delivery.
The separation of luminaire and power supply unit is intentional, because one of the greatest strengths of the SOLAR STINGERĀ® SunStrip III is the ability to operate several of the LED strips with just one DRV: The appropriate power supply unit is selected using the wattages of the individual strips, as well as other switchable devices, according to the following calculation: the sum of the individual wattages of all devices, that are connected to the DRV power supply unit, determines the wattage of the power supply unit required.
Calculation example:
A DRV2 48 W is required to operate TWO SOLAR STINGERĀ® SunStrip III 35 FRESH in 550 mm with 19 watts each.
The connection is made via a Y-cable or with the CON1.
