SOLAR RAPTOR® HeatStrip II

Put an end to cold draughts and misted-up front windows, now there’s a warm breeze blowing through your terrarium.

The problem of draughts in terrariums is often underestimated: especially with large ventilation areas, it can quickly become too draughty for the animals if colder air is constantly flowing in. Then they only stay directly under the radiant heaters and are thus restricted in their natural behaviour. In the worst cases, it can even lead to respiratory diseases.

The SOLAR RAPTOR® HeatStrip II is a unique heating system. Terrarium owners usually mount the self-adhesive rod directly on the front air inlet of their terrarium. This heats the incoming air and increases the air temperature in the entire terrarium. In addition, the so-called “chimney effect” ensures an overall improved air exchange.

The Heatstrip thus ensures a constant supply of warm fresh air and improves the climate for both the animals and the plants in the terrarium.

For owners of a rainforest terrarium, the HeatStrip has another advantage: The high humidity prevailing in rainforest terrariums, which is usually produced with the help of sprinkler systems or ultrasonic foggers, often causes the windows to mist up. This is not only unpleasant for the animals, but also a nuisance for the reptile or amphibian keeper. Because the heat source of the HeatStrip is located directly on the front pane, condensation of humidity on the pane is effectively counteracted. This means no misted-up windows and thus always a clear view on the animals.
