SOLAR STINGER® SunStrip III 35 FRESH
New optimized setup in the familiar design
The third generation of the popular SOLAR STINGER® SunStrip is here. The incorrigible, flat design with rail profile has been retained.
What is new, however, is the further increased luminosity and an optimized light spectrum:
- Brilliant light spectrum – suitable for all freshwater aquarium types (no color adjustment required)
- High color rendering
- Wide-area light distribution
- A total of 5 different color channels
- Combined warm white and cool white LEDs for a natural lighting climate
- RGB LEDs for color simulations, such as sunrise and sunset
- Optionally controllable with CON1
- Several strips can be operated with just one correspondingly large DRV power supply unit – no DRV power supply unit is therefore included in the scope of delivery.
- Extremely flat aluminum design
- Glass cover for abrasion-resistant light transmission.

Optimized light spectrum
The combination of evenly distributed warm white and cool white LEDs not only bring more luminosity to the aquarium, they also ensure a natural lighting climate.
The brilliant light spectrum is completed by the additional RGB LEDs (red, green, blue), three color channels that bring the light bar to a total of 5 light channels.
Like its predecessors, the SOLAR STINGER® SunStrip III 35 FRESH can be controlled via the CON1 control unit. Each channel can be controlled individually and the amount of light itself can also be dimmed. This means that complex color simulations can be created using the CON1 control unit, including very natural-looking sunrises and sunsets, for example.
Best thermal management
The aluminum profile on the light reliably dissipates the heat generated and also serves as a mounting rail for the SunStrip Holder. These allow you to attach them individually above the aquarium.
Flexible attachment
The mounting is also well thought out: Almost anything is possible here — from surface-mounting or screwing on, to suspending from the ceiling, to inserting into existing T8 or T5 fluorescent tube sockets. Two SunStrips can even be connected in length! Existing JUWEL® and EHEIM/MP® aquarium covers can also be converted to SunStrip covers.
Wide range of applications & diverse combinations
The SOLAR STINGER® SunStrip III 35 FRESH has a power consumption of 35 watts per meter and requires an additional DRV power supply unit for operation, which is not included in the scope of delivery.
The separation of luminaire and power supply unit is intentional, because one of the greatest strengths of the SOLAR STINGER® SunStrip III is the ability to operate several of the LED strips with just one DRV: The appropriate power supply unit is selected using the wattages of the individual strips, as well as other connectable devices, according to the following calculation: the sum of the individual wattages of all devices connected to the DRV power supply unit determines the wattage of the required power supply unit.
Example calculation:
A DRV2 48 W is required to operate TWO SOLAR STINGER® SunStrip III 35 FRESH in 550 mm with 19 watts each.
The connection is made via a Y-cable or with the CON1.
